Career Internship Class

Superior High School offered an internship program for seniors this year to shadow someone in a career field that they were interested in. The students involved in this program were Ashley Rand, Dani Freeman, Adin Leibel, Trenten Theis, Taylor Bargen, Maleka Blecha, Malori Grabast, Natalie McMeen, Wyatt Schuster, Zach Renz, Ben Vyzourek, and Jaimey Bryant. 

Ashley Rand, Dani Freeman, Adin Leibel, and Trenten Theis all interned at Brodstone Memorial Hospital. Ashley and Dani both shadowed nurses, where they interacted with patients and observed the procedures that the job entails.  Adin and Trenten both shadowed doctors, where they observed multiple departments such as cardio and imaging.

Taylor Bargen, Maleka Blecha, Malori Grabast, and Natalie McMeen interned in the elementary school. Taylor helped Mrs. Brase with the first graders, and Maleka shadowed Mrs. Beavers where she observed the upper elementary. Malori and Natalie both shadowed Mrs. Grabast in the area of Speech Language Pathology, both in the preschool and the elementary school. There they worked with students on speech sounds, writing, language, and vocab

Wyatt Schuster interned at Superior Implement. There he helped repair, adjust, and clean machinery and learned about the agricultural mechanic business. Zach Renz interned at Landmark Implement where he also repaired equipment. Ben Vyzourek job shadowed at Peak Dental where he watched the dentist do procedures and helped with paperwork. Jaimey job shadowed Hannah Shoryer at Design Unbridled, which is a graphic design company. At Design Unbridled, Jaimey learned how to be a graphic designer, and she created logos for local businesses and even her own website. 

All the students presented to school board members, staff, and business owners on Tuesday, May 7, in the high school library.
