Senior Parents:
You have a chance to honor a special senior with a personal ad in the 2024-2025 yearbook. This is an opportunity for you to offer simple congratulations to a senior. The message can be sentimental, funny, poetic, or philosophical. We ask you to include a baby or childhood picture with your ad (these will be returned to you next spring or next fall). This can either be mailed with the message and payment, or you can email it to me at mschuster@superiorwildcats.org.
The smallest your ad will be is 2β x 4β, but if we do not have one from everybody, your ad could be larger. The price of these ads is $25.00 to be paid in advance. Checks should be made to Superior Public Schools. Please mail your payment, picture, and special message to: Superior High School, ATTN: Journalism Department, 601 W. 8th Street, Superior, NE 68978.
So if you would like to honor the special senior in your life, donβt miss our deadline of Friday, November 8.
Also, the deadline for Yearbook Senior Pictures is Friday, December 6. I collect three wallet-size color photos; one for the yearbook, one for the Superior Express, and one for the alumni association for the composite picture. These photos need to be vertical shots; the space is limited in the yearbook and in the composite window. The one for the yearbook and the Superior Express can be emailed to me from the photographer or from you. My email address is mschuster@superiorwildcats.org. I do need an actual copy of the picture for the alumni composite window (due date for this picture is March 28, 2025). If my yearbook staff does not have these pictures by the above date, a photo will not be included in the yearbook, so please make arrangements early.

Please help us give a warm welcome to Cannon Blauvelt our new PE teacher.
Hello everyone, Iβm Cannon Blauvelt, the new 6-12 Physical Education teacher. This marks my 13th year in education, having previously taught and coached at Litchfield Public Schools and Ravenna Public Schools. Here at Superior, in addition to teaching, Iβll be helping coach varsity football, middle school boys' basketball, and high school track.
My wife, Sarah, and I, along with our three childrenβHunter, a sophomore, Paityn, an 8th grader, and Cooper, a 5th graderβare thrilled to be part of the Superior community. Weβre a sports-focused family, and youβll often find us at our kidsβ activities or catching a Nebraska sporting event when we can!
I'm excited to be teaching at Superior because of the strong sense of community and the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives both in the classroom and on the field. Iβm eager to build positive relationships with the students, help them grow, and encourage them to be involved at school. Superior has been a great fit for me and my family, and weβre excited to be part of this amazing school and town!
Welcome to #NebraskaWildcatNation Cannon! We are glad to have you as part of our team! β€οΈπ€

Jada and Cheyenne are part of the Grow Your Own, teacher training, program and finishing up their third and final course.
They presented at an elementary staff meeting about personalities and how not only the teachers can best utilize these strengths, but how their students can as well.
There were a diverse group of personalities--π¦π»π¦πthrough out the staff, which creates a balanced team.
