Mrs. Roach's 5th Graders harvested three kinds of lettuce from the tower garden. The lettuce was served to Superior Students! Tower to Table! 🥬
1st grade finished their unit on the human body last week! The enjoyed recreating the different systems throughout the body and even got to wear scrub hats like a real doctor!
The kindergartners just wrapped up their stories unit! They crafted amazing house for the 3 little pigs, making sure the wolf couldn't blow them down!🐷🏠💨
🎃🍁 Last week, the SHS Art Club came together for our Fall Pumpkin Carving Party! 🍁🎃
It was a fantastic afternoon filled with laughter, creativity, and plenty of pumpkin guts! Our members had a blast carving their pumpkins side by side, sharing ideas, swapping tips, and helping each other bring their unique designs to life. It’s so exciting to see everyone’s enthusiasm and creativity in action!
This year, we’re thrilled to have such a large group of students eager to dive into art projects and make an impact at SHS. Looking forward to many more memorable events with this amazing crew!

The 5th grade students in Ms. Pahl's class spent 20 minutes silently reading. This is something that we enjoy, but do not get to do it very often!
Exciting day in 5th grade! Our students have worked hard on their Early American Civilizations Codex projects, and today was the big reveal! 🌟 They shared their hard work with classmates from the other class. Proud of our young historians! 📚

On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, Mrs. Parks and Mrs. Whetzal accompanied the freshmen to Hastings for the "Connecting the Dots" program, an interactive career exploration simulation hosted by the UNL Extension Office.
In the morning, students evaluated resumes, determined their top work skills, and learned about their personality types. In the afternoon, students participated in a real-life simulation of how their high school choices impact their post high school and workplace experiences.
Our Superior Lady Wildcats hit the court this Monday in the D1-7 Subdistrict Volleyball Tournament! They’ll be facing off against Deshler at Shickley Public Schools. Let’s pack the gym and cheer them on to victory!

Annual Halloween Trick or Treat Night
We have been learning about the Middle Ages in 4th grade and specifically the differences between lords and serfs. Students wrote an informative paragraph on The Life of a Serf and drew a picture to go with it.

Students enjoyed the 3rd grade skeletons walking around yesterday! Mrs. Henry and Miss Schoof loved using their outfits to help reinforce their lessons on the skeletal system.

Last Friday, we wrapped up a fantastic Career Fair with over 200 students from Sandy Creek, Lawrence Nelson, Red Cloud, and Superior, along with 35 businesses and colleges in attendance!

6th Grade- Avaleigh Isaacson-Avaleigh I. is always prepared for class and ready to learn. She thoughtfully answers questions and participates in class discussions. She completes all of her work to the best of her ability.
7th Grade-Lily is a driven student who is always on top of what's going on in class. She seeks out answers to questions she doesn't know or uses problem solving skills to find a solution herself.
8th Grade-I have been really impressed with Lauren this year. She is working really hard and participating fully in class. She often has great answers during class discussions.

Congratulations to the Superior High School Marching Band for receiving a “Division 1-Superior” rating at the Minden BandFest parade. The band also received a “Division 2- Excellent” on their field show. A big thank you to our Marching Band seniors for their time, dedication, and leadership over the years.
