Three students attended LAUNCH Leadership Workshop July 16-20 on the Doane College campus. Brooke Ekstein, Lexi Primus, and Ava Erpelding participated in hundreds of leadership development activities throughout the week. The week also included a talent show, Olympic games, and Candles in the Dark.

Homecoming is Friday, September 6, 2024. A senior slide show is created each year to be played during the parent pep rally on that Friday and during the graduation ceremony. In order to create the video; we will need pictures (a senior picture, a baby picture, and maybe a couple of group shots). These need to be emailed to Mrs. Schuster at mschuster@superiorwildcats.org or given to her by Monday, August 19. If you can send over the summer, it would be greatly appreciated.

There's a Homecoming Parent Meeting for all parents of Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. The meeting will be to go over what needs to be done for each class, etc.

Mrs. Schuster has been in New Orleans attending a workshop facilitated by the WWII Museum. The workshop concentrated on the We Can Too exhibit, which focused on women in military service during WWII. Highlights of the workshop were listening to speakers about the nurses taken as prisoners of war and African American Rosies and talking to a women who was in the Marine Corp. The week also included tours of Jackson Square, the Hurricane Katrina Museum, and the WWII Museum itself.

Due to low staffing for Kid's Club. Lunch will be served in the school cafeteria from 11-11:30 instead of the City Park.

Nuckolls County Childcare (NC3) Team Member: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced person to join our team. As a Team Member, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and providing a nurturing and educational environment for children alongside NC3's Director and Assistant Director. This position reports to Nuckolls County Childcare Center Director Key Duties and Responsibilities: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives put in place by NC3 Director. Provide individualized attention and support to students with special needs or learning challenges. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement strategies for student success. Monitor student progress and provide ongoing feedback to parents/guardians. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills. Follows policies, methods, and procedures and makes recommendations of modifications as is necessary for the proper functioning of NC3. Attend and complete additional educational trainings as required by State Guidelines or NC3 facility. Other duties as assigned by NC3 Director. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices. Experience in behavior management and implementing positive reinforcement strategies. Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. Infant/child CPR and First Aid certified (training will be provided if necessary). Must clear a full background check. Must pass a health screening.
