Sarah Kirchhoff
High School Para/Substitute Teacher
In 2001 I graduated form Superior High School and then went on to graduate from Hastings College in 2005 with a degree in Business Administration, minor in economics and a coaching endorsement. I was an office manager for a couple businesses before owning and running Eitzmann Trucking for over 11 years. For the last 9 years I have also run a small business called The Purple Moose which allows my creative side to come out with designing and making custom shirts to sell. Since moving home after college I have also coached the JH/MS Girls basketball team with this coming year being my 20th year. Over the years I have also reffed both volleyball and basketball games here in Superior and some surrounding communities. Last spring I took my first college class in 20 years so that I could start substituting here at the school, which lead me to the position I'm in now.
I have been married to my husband Mike Kirchhoff for 21 years and we have 3 kids Ava, Korbin and Krosby who all attend Superior Schools. We also have two dogs Hux our English Bulldog and Maize our yellow lab, not to mention Ava's 50+ chickens. We are a busy family and oftentimes you'll find us in a gym or at a field watching our kids play. When schedules workout we love to attend some of our favorite team's events, KSU Football (minus Mike), KC Royals, KC Chiefs or our new favorite the Savannah Bananas.
Fun fact is that my husband Mike and I were high school sweethearts having both gone to Superior Public Schools. When Mike and I finished college we moved home to eventually move into his childhood home. Also, my husband and I share the same birthday so he has no excuse to ever forget mine!
While my own kids may grumble that I'm out here everyday, I am excited to be a part of the Superior School system. I love helping others to understand what it is they are learning and seeing that light bulb moment, when they finally get it and it all clicks into place.
Welcome to #NebraskaWildcatNation Sarah! We are glad to have you as part of our team! β€οΈπ€

βοΈIt's time for our Friday Staff SpotlightβοΈ
Hi, my name is Gracie Jackson, and Iβm excited to be the βnewβ Elementary Music Teacher!
I had the wonderful opportunity to complete my student teaching here last spring, where my role was a bit uniqueβI was both a student teacher and the classroom teacher. That experience challenged me, helped me grow, and confirmed how much I love teaching music. In April, I graduated from York University with my teaching degree, and I knew right away that this is where I wanted to stay!
My husband, Joe and I have been married for 3 years. Last year, we welcomed our precious daughter, Lucy, to our family. Together, we spend a lot of time with our church community, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, and going to (a lot of) concerts. Fun fact - we accidentally got to meet and greet our favorite band Needtobreathe!
Iβm especially excited to be teaching here in Superior because this community encourages me to keep doing what I loveβsharing the gift of music with young people and building connections with families. It means so much to be able to stay in Husker country and grow my family and school family in the small town weβre proud to call home. #GoCats
Welcome to #NebraskaWildcatNation Gracie! We are glad to have you as part of our team! β€οΈπ€
