Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, Superior Public Schools will offer an in-town bus stop for students who live in Superior or walk to a location on the east side of Hwy 14/Bloom St./Idaho St.
π Bus Stop Location: City Park - East of Museum (next to the soccer fields)
This stop is designed to safely transport students across the highway to their designated drop-off location, helping eliminate the need for students to cross Hwy 14 on foot.
If your student will need to be dropped off at the park after school, please complete the signup form.

πΊπΈ Mrs. Schuster spent last week in Independence, Missouri, at the Truman Library Presidents in Print Teacher Institute. πΊπΈ She listened to several speakers about a range of topics from Teddy Roosevelt, Harry S Truman and his wife's correspondence, Gerald Ford, and different strategies to use in the classroom. ποΈ She was also able to visit the museum dedicated to Truman's life along with traveling to Kansas City to Union Station to see an exhibit about the Berlin Wall. ποΈ

There's still time to get signed up for Youth Basketball Camp next week! Camp is open to all incoming 1st-6th boys. Date: July 27-30 Times: 1-3 grades 8-9 am, 4-6 grades 9-10 am
These four students attended LAUNCH leadership workshop. Living at Doane University for five days, they broke boundaries, smashed stereotypes, and discussed core values while growing in leadership skills and making friends from across the state.
Last Friday, Mrs. Schuster finished her Civil War West trip in Jackson, Mississippi. She toured the Old Capital building.
On Thursday, Mrs. Schuster toured Vicksburg National Park. This park focused on the last Confederate stronghold on the Mississippi River during the Civil War. ποΈ A highlight of the tour was seeing the Cairo, an Union iron gunboat, that sank in the Yazoo River on its way to Vicksburg π₯οΈπ£ and the spot were Union General Grant and Confederate General Pemberton negotiated surrender terms for the Vicksburg port. π³ πͺ¦She also was able to photograph the tombstone of her third great grandfather. Christopher Columbus Pickle. He died in the Nashville campaign in April of 1863 but was reinterred at Vicksburg after the war.πͺ¦
