Some of our talented Superior High School students had the opportunity to attend Media Day at Hastings Central Community College, and they represented us well!
Students got a first look at careers in media arts and explored what’s possible in creative fields. The day kicked off with an introduction to the Media Arts program, where they saw examples of student work and learned about opportunities after high school.
From there, students jumped into hands-on sessions where they rotated through activities like photography, audio storytelling, screenprinting, and multimedia. It was a great chance for them to try new skills and get a feel for different creative career paths.
They also had the chance to hear from industry professionals during a panel discussion and ask questions about working in the media world.
We are proud of these students for stepping out, getting involved, and making the most of this awesome opportunity. Great job, Wildcats!

The Superior Art Club has been busy this spring!
With support from the Nebraska Arts Council, our middle school students had the chance to visit Lauritzen Gardens. While they were there, they got to experience the amazing “TROLLS Save the Humans” exhibit featuring six huge sculptures made from recycled wood by artist Thomas Dambo. After that, students stopped by the University of Nebraska Omaha for lunch and a campus tour.
The following week, our high school Art Club members visited the Henry Doorly Zoo. They spent the day exploring, checking out all the animals, and even had a fun assignment to find artwork around the zoo.
It has been a great year for our Art Club, and it has been awesome to see our students continue to grow their creativity and love for art. We cannot wait to share more exciting things ahead! 🎨

"The Sound of Swing" was a hit! 🎶🎷 Elementary students were so excited to share all their hard work with their families: singing, playing, dancing, and jazz hands alike.
I am so proud of the music these students make!! What a joy to see everyone come together for a jazzy production of art and music. 😊
