Senior Parents:

🎓 You have a chance to honor your senior with a personal ad in the 2025-2026 yearbook. This is an opportunity for you to offer simple congratulations. The message can be sentimental, funny, poetic, or philosophical. We ask you to include a baby or childhood picture with your ad (these will be returned to you next spring or next fall). This can either be mailed with the message and payment, or you can email it to mschuster@superiorwildcats.org. 🎓

🎓 The smallest your ad will be is 2” x 4”, but if the yearbook staff does not have one from everybody, the ad could be larger. The price of these ads is $25.00 to be paid in advance. Checks should be made to Superior Public Schools. Please mail your payment, picture, and special message to: Superior High School, ATTN: Journalism Department, 601 W. 8th Street, Superior, NE 68978. 🎓

🌽 Harvest 2025: Growing Knowledge, One Acre at a Time! 🌽

On October 21st, the Superior FFA Chapter wrapped up our annual corn harvest! This year, we averaged 170 bushels per acre — an awesome yield made possible by the hard work of our members, the guidance of our advisors, and the generosity of our community partners. 💪💛💙

This harvest is more than just numbers — it’s a classroom without walls. Before we hit the field, Mr. Thomas’ Ag Mechanics class got hands-on experience learning about combine parts, how they work together, and the importance of maintenance and safety.

In the field, Mr. Thomas’ Agronomy class met with Jon Mic from Pioneer, who shared insights on reducing harvest loss, spotting disease and pest issues, and developing strategies to prevent them in future seasons. 🌾

Meanwhile, our Precision Agriculture class worked with Troy Metcalf to explore the tech side of farming — learning about GPS systems on the combine and John Deere’s RDA (Remote Display Access), which lets technicians monitor performance and data from anywhere in the world! 🌍
