This will be my 5th year working as an SLP and for 2 years before that I was a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
My husband's name, Taylor, works as a professor at Central Community College. We have two children, Kortlynd -10, and Zailyn- 7. I love to watch movies and go to baseball games. As a family, we also love to travel! Starting two years ago, it has been our family goal to see at least one new Major League Baseball Stadium each year, this year we went to PNC Park (Pittsburgh Pirates) and Fenway Park (Boston Red Sox). Because of our travels this year, we have traveled to and through 11 states this summer.
I am excited to teach at Superior because I have been able to make great connections with many of my coworkers and it gives me and my children an opportunity to be a part of a community that has values that align with our own.

Colby is passionate about helping children reach those exciting gross motor milestones like sitting, crawling, walking, and running. He works closely with families, providing personalized support and guidance to help their little ones build strength and coordination. Colby shares that one of the most rewarding parts of his job is "seeing the happiness and satisfaction on kiddos' and parents' faces when they're able to achieve new milestones."
We're so grateful to have Colby bringing his expertise and passion to families in Superior, Nebraska, helping children ages birth to three years.

This special event will take place on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 4:30–7:00 p.m. at the ESU 9 building. It’s an incredible honor for these three talented students to be recognized and have their creativity celebrated alongside other young artists from the region.

⭐️It's time for our Friday Staff Spotlight⭐️
I’ve worked with children birth to 12th grade. I worked as a preschool teacher for 1 year and realized there is a big need for special education professionals so I chose to work 1-1 with young children. I enjoy seeing them grow and when they hit a milestone that they have been working on for a while, their smiles show me how much a career in early childhood is rewarding. I am currently working on my bachelors in early childhood special education and plan to keep furthering my career.
I have two daughters Hazelee and Jazpen and a boyfriend named Nick. My hobbies include reading, sports, lifting weights, doing anything with my kids and gardening. Fun fact: I am ambidextrous!
I am excited to be back at Superior Public Schools and to work with the younger children this time. The older kids were fun but the littles are where my heart is!

Mr. Torres, our school psychologist, played Jeopardy with the 5th Graders. He is a great asset to our school and will be co-teaching our Second Step Curriculum which includes learning about empathy, problem solving, and self regulation. Go Cats! ❤️
