⭐️It's time for our Friday Staff Spotlight⭐️
Please help us give a warm welcome to Cannon Blauvelt our new PE teacher.
Hello everyone, I’m Cannon Blauvelt, the new 6-12 Physical Education teacher. This marks my 13th year in education, having previously taught and coached at Litchfield Public Schools and Ravenna Public Schools. Here at Superior, in addition to teaching, I’ll be helping coach varsity football, middle school boys' basketball, and high school track.
My wife, Sarah, and I, along with our three children—Hunter, a sophomore, Paityn, an 8th grader, and Cooper, a 5th grader—are thrilled to be part of the Superior community. We’re a sports-focused family, and you’ll often find us at our kids’ activities or catching a Nebraska sporting event when we can!
I'm excited to be teaching at Superior because of the strong sense of community and the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives both in the classroom and on the field. I’m eager to build positive relationships with the students, help them grow, and encourage them to be involved at school. Superior has been a great fit for me and my family, and we’re excited to be part of this amazing school and town!
Welcome to #NebraskaWildcatNation Cannon! We are glad to have you as part of our team! ❤️🖤

Jada and Cheyenne are part of the Grow Your Own, teacher training, program and finishing up their third and final course.
They presented at an elementary staff meeting about personalities and how not only the teachers can best utilize these strengths, but how their students can as well.
There were a diverse group of personalities--🦁🐻🦊🐆through out the staff, which creates a balanced team.

⭐️It's time for our Friday Staff Spotlight⭐️ Please help us give a warm welcome to Nathan Breland, our new Art teacher.
My name is Nathan Breland, and I am beyond thrilled to announce that I’m the new art teacher at Superior High School! Before coming back home, I had the joy of teaching elementary art in Hattiesburg, MS, for two years and middle school art in Gulfport, MS, for a year. Now, I’m back to where it all started, teaching in Superior, and I couldn’t be more excited!
I live with my amazing girlfriend Amberlynne, and we just welcomed our baby boy into the world! He’s brought so much joy and creativity into our lives already. In my spare time, you’ll likely find me on the disc golf course, creating my own artwork, or diving into a competitive trading card game I’ve recently gotten hooked on, It’s been such a fun challenge!
What I’m most excited about teaching in Superior is that, as an alum, it means the world to me to be continuing the tradition of incredible art teachers that inspired me growing up. And to make it even better, I get to teach in the same classroom where so many of my favorite high school memories were made! It feels like I’ve come full circle, and I can’t wait to help my students create their own lasting memories and creative experiences here.
Looking forward to an inspiring, art-filled school year ahead!
Welcome to #NebraskaWildcatNation Nathan! We are glad to have you as part of our team! ❤️🖤
