Please help us give a warm welcome to Marque Crowe our new 4th grade teacher.
HI! My name is Marque Crowe, and I will be joining Superior Elementary School as a 4th Grade teacher.
Career Experience
I graduated from UNK in 2022 with an Exercise Science degree. After graduation, I moved to Houston TX for a job opportunity. I worked as an inside sales representative for a metal manufacturer until May of 2024, when I decided I missed Nebraska and was ready to move closer to home. I started substitute teaching here at Superior for the last year while also finishing out my Masters in Business Administration. This will be my first year teaching and I am very excited!
Family, Hobbies, Fun Facts
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, going to the lake, or traveling. I am the oldest of four. I have two younger brothers, one works in construction, and the other is going to UNK for an Aviation degree while also being in the National Guard. I also have a younger sister who will be starting 4th grade this fall. Fun Fact: I have a goldendoodle named Poppy.
Why I'm excited about teaching at Superior
Iβm so excited to be teaching at Superior because I love helping kids learn and grow! Iβve heard amazing things about the students, families, and teachers here, and I canβt wait to be part of such a kind and fun school. Iβm especially looking forward to doing hands-on projects, learning together as a team, and making each day in our classroom exciting. I know weβre going to have a fantastic year together!
Welcome to #NebraskaWildcatNation Marque! We are glad to have you as part of our team! β€οΈπ€

Superior Public Schools is thrilled to announce our Career Internship Program, designed to help students explore their career interests and pave the way for a bright, productive future! π«β¨
Through this initiative, along with our Career and Technical Education pathways, students gain valuable real-world experiences that assist them in identifying and defining their career paths. We recognize that not every student knows their desired future just yet, but we aim to guide them towards their interests.
Our program aligns with the Nebraska Department of Education curriculum and college/career-ready standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their next steps.
πΌ Are you a local business interested in partnering with us? By becoming one of our business partners, you'll help students discover potential career opportunities! Students will shadow your team once a month in the first semester, followed by hands-on internship experiences in the second semester.
If you'd like to join us in this fantastic initiative, please reach out to Sara Fuller at sfuller@superiorwildcats.org (mailto:sfuller@superiorwildcats.org) or comment below!
Together, we can empower our students to achieve their career goals!

Please help us give a warm welcome to Melissa Barry, our new high school English teacher.
Hello! My name is Melissa Barry, and Iβm excited to be teaching Freshman and Senior English, as well as College English and College American History this year at Superior.
Iβve been in education for many years and have worn several hats along the wayβsubstitute teacher, library media specialist, and classroom teacher in both English and History. These roles have given me the unique opportunity to work with students from Pre-K all the way through 12th grade, and Iβve loved every part of the journey.
I hold a Masterβs degree in Education and History, which has deepened my passion for both teaching and lifelong learning.
Blake and I live just outside of Superior with our dog, Charley. We have two wonderful daughters: Cailyn, who is finishing her Elementary Education degree at UNL this May, and Cayce, who is returning to KSU to continue her studies in Agronomy.
As a family, we love to travel and go on cruises. I also enjoy reading and spending time with family and friends whenever I can.
Iβm especially excited about teaching at Superior because it truly feels like home. Both of our daughters went to school here, and weβve always appreciated the supportive, close-knit atmosphere that makes this community so special. Being able to teach in a place that means so much to our family is a privilege, and Iβm looking forward to giving back and being part of the continued tradition of excellence at Superior.
GO CATS!
Welcome to #NebraskaWildcatNation Melissa! We are glad to have you as part of our team! β€οΈπ€

It was a great day for learning and building!
Way to go Cats! πΎ
