High School Choir isn't "sleeping on the job", but instead doing some focused practice on deep breathing. Students put their folder or music on the stomach with the goal of raising the folder with each breath before they sing. 🎨 Happy National Dot Day! Our kindergarteners embraced a "can do" attitude by creating their own masterpieces after reading the inspiring story by Peter H. Reynolds.
Our kindergartners have been diving into nursery rhymes and fables, today we celebrated the end of our unit! Preschool teacher Kara and kindergartner Millie brought their adorable bunny, Poppy, as a special treat after reading "The Tortoise and the Hare." 🐢🐇 Plus, the kids got to taste curds and whey (AKA cottage cheese) just like Little Miss Muffet!🥣 It's been an exciting, hands-on learning adventure!

Hello! My name is Kara Gilbert and I am teaching 7th and 8th grade Science, as well as Chem I and Chem II. I am starting my 17th year of teaching here at Superior with 12 of those years teaching in Mulvane, KS and the last 4 years at Rock Hills in Mankato. I have one son who is a senior at K-State, and two bonus kids who are attending school at Fort Hays and Cloud County. Although we now are empty nesters, Shawn and I enjoy anything K-State and traveling! Superior holds a special place in my heart as this is where my mom was raised and I also spent many of my summers here with my grandparents!

Lenden Worm, a senior, shares his knowledge of the electrical industry with students in Mr. Thomas's Ag Mechanics classroom.
Bringing in current students allows Mr. Thomas to instill a mindset of passion to an industry in the younger students.
A big thank you to our Social Media Team of five students: Halle Bargen, Khloe Mundorf, Cora Schnakenberg, Jordan Duncan, & Kaitlyn Nielsen, who have been working hard to gather photos from recent events and prepare for upcoming event posts and game recaps. These students are also collaborating with the Superior Express Newspaper to submit student photos, showcasing their work to the wider community.

Today Mrs. Roach's Class learned about the Survivor's Tree at the 9/11 Memorial and watched a documentary about people who experienced it first hand. The 5th graders used the inspiration from people involved and the example of the Survivor's tree to write their message of hope on paper leaves. The leaves were added to our tree display in our hallway. 🇺🇸
The 5th grade students raised the flags and put them at half staff today in honor of 9/11. They also observed a moment of silence in honor of those who lost their lives on that day in 2001.
AgVenture day was full of learning all about agriculture. 4th grade got to really explore the roots of agriculture. 🌾🚜
During Lit Lab Kindergarten students have been learning the parts of their iPads.
Second graders celebrated "flapjacks and flannels" this past Friday to wrap up our Tall Tales & Fairy Tales unit!
Mrs. Roach and Ms. Pahl's 5th grade students also visited the Vestey center and practiced our states and capitals with Bingo. We got to play with some of our local senior community members and learn a little about them!! It was so much fun!! One of the ladies is 99 years old!!

Mrs. Henry here! Ask your kids about art today! We had such a fun day! So much fun I didn't take many pictures, but I enjoyed seeing all the smiling faces and we can't wait until next week. We followed all the rules and had so much fun creating masterpieces!
We love Art! Mrs. Henry inspires students to be creative and have fun! The 5th graders enjoyed creating paper sculptures, about themselves.
