Deadline is approaching for Senior Ads for the Yearbook.
You have a chance to honor a special senior with a personal ad in the 2024-2025 yearbook. This is an opportunity for you to offer simple congratulations to a senior. The message can be sentimental, funny, poetic, or philosophical. We ask you to include a baby or childhood picture with your ad (these will be returned to you next spring or next fall). This can either be mailed with the message and payment, or you can email it to me at mschuster@superiorwildcats.org.
The smallest your ad will be is 2β x 4β, but if we do not have one from everybody, your ad could be larger. The price of these ads is $25.00 to be paid in advance. Checks should be made to Superior Public Schools. Please mail your payment, picture, and special message to: Superior High School, ATTN: Journalism Department, 601 W. 8th Street, Superior, NE 68978.
So if you would like to honor the special senior in your life, donβt miss our deadline of Friday, November 15.

π’ State Volleyball Update!
Superior Public Schools will be closed on Thursday, November 7th to allow our students, staff, and fans to travel safely to Lincoln to cheer on our Wildcats at the State Volleyball Tournament! ππ
Pep Rally will be Wednesday at 3:15 pm.
Weβre excited to offer two buses for the trip:
Spirit Bus: Open to all high school students (grades 9-12). Sign up on Mrs. Corman's door starting Monday morning! Thanks to the Red Caps Booster Club, entry fees are covered for all students who sign up.
Band Bus: Open to students in grades 7-12 to help bring the Wildcat spirit to State with music and energy! πΆ
π Donβt forget: T-shirt orders are due online by 8 AM on Monday! Pickup will be at the Custom Sports booth at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Halloween Fun at Superior Public Schools.
The Student Council conducted their annual costume contest. Big winners were Spiderman and the Minion Girls.
Several organizations also held a Trick-or-Treat Night in the cafeteria. 117 students participated.

This week during art we talked about Red Ribbon week and what it means. We are holding a coloring contest to show how proud we are to be drug free. Students also learned different ways to say NO to drugs! Keep your eye out for our winners that will be announced next week!

Preschoolers had fun learning about the pumpkin life cycle! They explored the inside of a pumpkin while making Jack-o-lanterns! π





Yeah for the rain! Inside recess; the hissing cockroaches get some love, chess playing, cup stacking, Legos, drawing and Uno! 5th Grade Rocks!





1st grade finished their unit on the human body last week! The enjoyed recreating the different systems throughout the body and even got to wear scrub hats like a real doctor!



Mrs. Roach's 5th Graders harvested three kinds of lettuce from the tower garden. The lettuce was served to Superior Students! Tower to Table! π₯¬



ππ Last week, the SHS Art Club came together for our Fall Pumpkin Carving Party! ππ
It was a fantastic afternoon filled with laughter, creativity, and plenty of pumpkin guts! Our members had a blast carving their pumpkins side by side, sharing ideas, swapping tips, and helping each other bring their unique designs to life. Itβs so exciting to see everyoneβs enthusiasm and creativity in action!
This year, weβre thrilled to have such a large group of students eager to dive into art projects and make an impact at SHS. Looking forward to many more memorable events with this amazing crew!

The 5th grade students in Ms. Pahl's class spent 20 minutes silently reading. This is something that we enjoy, but do not get to do it very often!




Exciting day in 5th grade! Our students have worked hard on their Early American Civilizations Codex projects, and today was the big reveal! π They shared their hard work with classmates from the other class. Proud of our young historians! π
