This special event will take place on Monday, August 25, 2025, from 4:30–7:00 p.m. at the ESU 9 building. It’s an incredible honor for these three talented students to be recognized and have their creativity celebrated alongside other young artists from the region.

I’ve worked with children birth to 12th grade. I worked as a preschool teacher for 1 year and realized there is a big need for special education professionals so I chose to work 1-1 with young children. I enjoy seeing them grow and when they hit a milestone that they have been working on for a while, their smiles show me how much a career in early childhood is rewarding. I am currently working on my bachelors in early childhood special education and plan to keep furthering my career.
I have two daughters Hazelee and Jazpen and a boyfriend named Nick. My hobbies include reading, sports, lifting weights, doing anything with my kids and gardening. Fun fact: I am ambidextrous!
I am excited to be back at Superior Public Schools and to work with the younger children this time. The older kids were fun but the littles are where my heart is!

Mackenzie specializes in a truly important area: helping children learn to communicate their wants, needs, and ideas. She works closely with families to develop essential language and speech skills. Whether it's through early sounds, first words, or developing more complex sentences, Mackenzie is here to guide both children and families on their communication journey. She shares that her favorite part of the job is “when families hear that new sound, word, phrase or sentence they’ve been longing to hear.”
We're incredibly fortunate to have Mackenzie bringing her expertise and passion to families to help their little ones understand and clearly communicate with the world around them.
