To kick off the 100th day of school yesterday, elementary students traveled back in time 100 years to experience the height of Jazz Music in the Roaring 20s.πΊποΈ
πΉIn 2nd and 3rd grade, we discussed the atmosphere of a Jazz Club with refined music and dressing up to go dancing, and even learned how to do the Charleston!!
πΉIn Kindergarten, we read "This Jazz Man" to the rhythm of the nursery rhyme "This Old Man", and learned about different instruments in Jazz, as well as some popular musicians during this time.
πΉIn 4th and 5th grade, we talked about the economic and social atmosphere of the Roaring 20s, looked at the makeup of a Jazz Band, and improvised with Boomwhackers to the 12 bar blues.
π·We had a great day exploring music, and the world that surrounds it, from a different decade! πΆ

π Weβre SO proud of our awesome Wildcats who worked hard, showed kindness , and shined bright this month! πΎβ€οΈ
π Letβs give a big cheer for our amazing December Students of the Month:
9th Grade-Haylee Fuller-Haylee strives to do really well in her classes and wants to learn the information.
10th Grade-Holley Kintigh-Holley does a nice job in English class ensuring that she learns the material.
11th Grade-Lexi Primus-Lexi is doing well in English 11 and demonstrates a strong work ethic by consistently trying her best.
12th Grade-Teagan Cool-Teagan is my teacherβs aide and truly goes above and beyond every day. I also have her in English, where she consistently does a great job in class. I love the positive energy she brings when she comes into my roomβsheβs always happy, participates actively, and is incredibly helpful. She puts in her best effort in everything she does, and it really shows. Iβve also noticed how welcoming and supportive she is with other students.

ποΈ Calendar Change Alert: No School Monday, March 2nd
Attention Families and Students!
Please note a change to our upcoming district calendar. There will be no school on Monday, March 2nd. Our Board of Education is moving into the final stages of the Superintendent interview process. This is a pivotal moment for our district, and this time allows our staff and stakeholders to participate fully in the selection of our future leadership.
We appreciate your flexibility and support as we work to find the best leader for our schools!
