New Staff Spotlight: Christa McCutcheon

We are excited to welcome Christa McCutcheon to Superior Public Schools!

Christa has always had a passion for helping students with disabilities develop the skills they need to be successful as they grow. With eight years of special education experience, she is excited to use her experience to create individualized plans that best support each of her students.

Christa has taught elementary special education at three different schools, working in both pull-out and inclusive classroom settings with students of all abilities. Her most recent experience helped her develop a passion for working with students with severe to profound needs.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education, Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading and Special Education, and an endorsement in High School Special Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Christa is especially excited to teach in a small town like Superior, where students and staff work together to create a positive school community and build strong relationships.

Outside of school, Christa enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching movies, planting and caring for her flowers, helping her husband Mac on the farm, and spending time with their daughter, Mae.

We are so excited to have Christa joining the Superior Public Schools family! Welcome, Christa!
