Scholarships

NROTC

This scholarship is available for students wanting to join the United States Marine Corps.  The scholarship has a total value of $180,000.  Applicant must score a minimum of 22 on ACT or minimum of 74 on ASVAB; be a United States Citizen or Green card holder; be at least 17 years of age and on track to graduate high school; and be in good physical condition.  Interested applications should visit the website.  If you have questions, please visit with Mrs. Baker.

WAYNE STATE COLLEGE 
This scholarship is available to a graduating senior who has enrolled at Wayne State College.  After being accepted, the applicant must complete an online scholarship application .  A copy of your online application is due to Mrs. Baker by NOVEMBER 21.  PLEASE NOTE that this scholarship has a priority deadline of December 1, 2025 and a final deadline of May 1, 2026.

CENTRAL NEBRASKA AUTO CLUB 
This $1,000 scholarship is available to a Nebraska High School Senior who is a Nebraska resident and American Citizen.  Applicant needs to be interested in auto-related study and attend a Nebraska college.

SOUTHEAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION 
This scholarship is available for seniors who have demonstrated classroom performance that would indicate potential success at SCC.  Applicants must complete an on-line scholarship application.  A copy of your on-line 
application is due to Mrs. Baker by MARCH 12. 

COOPERATIVE PRODUCERS, INC. 
This program includes $1000 scholarship opportunities for high school seniors of both CPI 
patrons and employees.  Applications are due to Mrs. Baker by MARCH 13. 

CLASS OF 1965 
This $2,000 scholarship is available to a high school senior graduating from Superior High School.  Applicant must plan to pursue a post-secondary education at either a two-year or four-year institution, or a vocational/technical school.  Applications are due to Mrs. Baker by MARCH 16.

SUPERIOR PUBLIC SCHOOL FOUNDATION 
The Superior Public School Foundation will make a scholarship grant to an individual who graduates from Superior High School.  
Applications for the following scholarships are due to Mrs. Baker by MARCH 25. 

 

BOSSEMEYER FAMILY 
This scholarship is available to Superior graduates who have a minimum 85% gpa, and have been involved in school and community activities. 

 

CARL O. DAHLGREN 
This scholarship is available to Superior graduates who have a minimum 85% gpa, and have been involved in school and community activities. 

 

ELIZABETH WOERNER CARTER  
This scholarship is for a senior who plans to major in Agriculture or Education. 

 

SUE E. ROSE 
Two $3,000 scholarships are for current Superior High School seniors or an earlier graduate of Superior High School who is entering their first semester of post-secondary education at an accredited school of higher education.  Preference is for students planning to further schooling in education although other applicants will be considered.  

EVELYN BRODSTONE HEALTHCARE CAREER GRANT 
A $1,000.00 scholarship is being offered to a Nuckolls County resident or graduate planning to pursue a career in the health care field.

SANDRA BOTHWELL LEGACY 
This scholarship is available to a high school senior pursuing a career in the health care industry.

VIRGINIA LEWIS LEGACY 
This $1,000 scholarship is available to a high school senior pursuing a career in the health care industry.

SANDY NELSON MEMORIAL 
This $500 - $1,000 scholarship is available to a senior at Superior High School.  Applicant must be a member of the Superior FFA Chapter in good standing who plans to attend either a two-year or four-year educational institution or a vocational / technical school.

SUPERIOR RED CAPS BOOSTER 
Four scholarships will be given to seniors who have been involved in high school athletics or dance.  
Applications are due to Mrs. Baker by MARCH 25.

NEBRASKA COACHES ASSOCIATION 
This scholarship is for a student who ranks in the upper 25% of his/her class or 3.75 cumulative GPA, has participated in at least two sports for two years, earned a varsity letter in two sports and is a son or daughter of NCA active coaching member.

NEBRASKA FUR HARVESTERS HIGHER EDUCATION 
This $400 scholarship is for a high school senior who hopes to become involved in a career that is related to wildlife management, and furbearer management in particular.  Applications are due to Mrs. Baker by MARCH 25. 

LOWER REPUBLICAN NATURAL RESOURCES DISTRICT 
Three $2,000.00 scholarships are available to first, second, and third-year students planning to major in a natural resources-related field, or agricultural field.  Recipients may attend college of their choice, but priority will be given to those attending a Nebraska college or university.

JOHNNY BAXTER CARRIAGE HOUSE FOUNDATION 
This $2,000 scholarship is available to a high school senior planning to attend a Nebraska Community College enrolling in automotive related courses of study.

JAMES R MELLOTT MEMORIAL 
This $500 scholarship is available to a Superior High School graduating senior.  Applicant must pursue an Associate’s Degree in construction technology, electrical technology, HVAC/refrigeration technology, or plumbing technology.  
Applications are due to Mrs. Baker by MARCH 30. 

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL #7714 
This scholarship is for students who belong to Nelson Sacred Heart or Superior Saint Joseph's Catholic Church.  Additional requirements are listed on the application.  
Applications  are due to Mrs. Baker by APRIL 8. 

GLENWOOD TELEPHONE 
This $1,000 scholarship is available to a high school senior enrolled in a two or four year college, or technical/trade program of study and whose parent/guardian is a recipient of GTMC telephone service.

KURT ALLEN MEMORIAL 
This $500 scholarship is available to a high school senior enrolled in a two or four year college/university, junior college, or technical/trade program of study and whose parent/guardian is a recipient of GTMC telephone service.

HASTINGS AREA RETIRED SCHOOL PERSONNEL 
A $600.00 scholarship is available to a high school senior pursuing a degree in education. 
Applications are due to Mrs. Baker by APRIL 10. 

LESLIE A. AND HELEN R. WILSON MEMORIAL 
This scholarship is available to a Webster County resident attending a local high school and is in the upper one-third of their class.  Applicant must enroll in a two- or four-year course of study in an agricultural or secondary educational pursuit.

JIM HURLBERT MEMORIAL BASEBALL 
This $500 scholarship is available to a graduating senior or player in their last year of eligibility.  Applicant must attend a post-secondary educational institution within the State of Nebraska and have a GPA in upper 50 percent of their class.
